An Edmonton man is facing a total of seven charges, after the investigation into drug trafficking wrapped up.
On Thursday, ALERT’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Edmonton) intercepted two packages that had been sent through Canada Post, and contained vials of anabolic steroids.
Officers then executed a search warrant at a home in the area of 201 Street and 48 Avenue, which resulted in 1,350 vials of different types of anabolic steroids being seized, along with steroid derivatives, drug trafficking paraphernalia and an operational conductive energy weapon.
In addition, $29,000 in cash was found; the estimated value of the seized steroids and their derivatives is believed to be $160,000.
Richard Dustin Cosman, 32, is facing seven charges, including two counts of trafficking of a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.
