British government releases Drug Misuse survey statistics for 2008-9

The report titled "General population : Extent and trends in drug use"

According to the survey between 1996 and 2008/2009 use of anabolic steroids among 16 to 59 year olds declined.

The statistics also appear to show that the 37 people who admitted to steroid use used no other recreational drugs :-)

Usage of steroids is clearly declining in the UK and the tragic death the press tried to blame on steroids ( that of poor teenager Mathhew Dear ) turned out to have been caused by something else ( which the parents are apparently embarassed about as they have kept the autopsy results secret ).

There has been no update on the case against the three arrested for supplying him either so we can only assume charges were dropped.
