Attorney given three years in prison for scam involving Serostim HGH.

"McFadden was found guilty in January on one charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, 28 counts of conspiracy to launder money and 29 counts of conspiracy to engage in the unlicensed distribution of prescription drugs.

According to evidence presented at his trial, McFadden played a key role in the scam, laundering money through a bank account at Washington Mutual Bank in Palm Springs. The money was then used to buy the anti-wasting drug Serostim from AIDS patients in the Coachella Valley.

The drugs were recycled through Beth Handy, a licensed wholesale drug distributor in New Hampshire, who resold them to legitimate pharmacies."
