Steroids Become Issue in Fire Service.

"The use and abuse of steroids is hardly news. The struggle of Major League Baseball over the past decade has involved steroids and it has tainted most who have played in the era.

Firefighters have also been caught up in the steroid issue since very often firefighters seek to build and or repair muscle rapidly in order to get back to work or to be at the top of their physical game. Several items stand in the way of successfully using steroids.

The first is the law. It is illegal and if someone is using them they can face substantial charges. Every user has a dealer and dealers keep lists. The federal authorities can find just about anyone when they raid the right place.

The second problem with steroids is side effects. Often dangerous and life altering people easily notice the differences in people who begin using steroids. From there it is a swift trip to unemployment and jail."

Firemen do one of the most dangerous jobs on earth and risk their lives on a daily basis, I'm pretty sure that being as fast and strong as possible at work is a benefit to them and those they save.
