Roid rage defense fails for British road rager.

"AN AGGRESSIVE driver who 'cut up' and then attacked another motorist may have been reacting to a course of steroids designed to 'bulk him up', a court heard.

David Gittins, prosecuting, told Plymouth Crown Court that the victim had been driving his father's silver Renault Scenic around noon on Sunday, January 4, when Short's black BMW coupe appeared in his rear-view mirror.

When Short 'undertook' him, causing a near-miss, the victim "made strong gestures and mouthed obscene words".

When the manoeuvre was repeated some miles later, the victim was angry, drove onto Somerfield's forecourt and both men got out.

But Short, of Maidenwell Road, Plympton, produced an object which witnesses described as a police-type baton eight inches long.

he then told the man: "You messed with the wrong bloke."

He then battered him over the head with it, causing an inch-long cut which needed stitches, the court was told."
