Steroid defense fails for British knife attacker.

"Mr Mark Jackson, defending, said Jennings had been on a cocktail of drink and drugs and was also suffering from the side effects of steroids. This had led to him behaving in an aggressive manner although he was not suffering from mental illness. He was ashamed of what he had done.

The judge said the woman would have been terrified and the effects of her ordeal would last for ever. He was satisfied that Jennings was a danger to the public and that his intent was to carry out rape."
