Steroid dealer from "The Wrestler" denied bail :-(

"A federal judge this afternoon denied bail for an actor from the film "The Wrestler," who led federal agents and police on a chase in February as they tried to arrest him on steroids charges.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas said Scott Siegel's reckless and dangerous behavior during the car chase was of sufficient concern to keep the 34-year-old New Rochelle resident behind bars. But he told prosecutors to report back next week with details of the medical treatment Siegel is getting at the Westchester County jail.

Siegel's lawyer, Barry Levin, told the judge that the medical staff at the jail was ill-equipped to treat Siegel, who Levin said suffers from anxiety, hypertension and withdrawl from a 20-year addiction to anebolic steroids.

About 30 supporters of Siegel's attended the bail hearing and Levin said the defense was prepared to use three properties to post bail of up to $2 million. He offered that Siegel could be kept under house arrest with electronic home monitoring and free only to leave the house for appointments with doctors and lawyers.
