China's most wanted pharmaceutical counterfeiter jailed for 6 and a half years.

A citizen of the People's Republic of China known as Mr. Xu was sentenced on Thursday to 6 and a half years in prison for distributing counterfeit and misbranded pharmaceuticals in the United States. Xu was arrested in August 2007 but only went to trail a year later. Xu denied knowing the drugs he exported were counterfeit despite openly discussing it in emails to investigators posing as potential buyers. Prosecutors claim Xu even owned the factory the drugs were made in. Xu was lured to US soil by investigators with the promise of huge deal and then arrested.
