Californian underground steroids lab busted.

Two men were arrested after a suspected steroid manufacturing and distribution operation was discovered in a Manteca home, authorities said. The Manteca Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit was conducting a probation search in the 300 block of N. Lincoln Avenue on Tuesday and found a large number of pharmaceuticals, weapons and $7,000 in cash, according to Officer Jason Hensley. During a search, he said officers discovered more than two pounds of various types of steroids in powder form awaiting to be manufactured into liquid state for injection. More than 200 doses had already been produced and more were awaiting packaging, Hensley said. Police also found that suspects were allegedly producing oral supplements such as Creatine in capsule form, capsules of Viagra and Cialis variations to counteract the effects of steroids on the body, Hensley said. Police say the suspects used safety seals and holographic items to give the appearance of authenticity. Among the thousands of “evidentiary items” found in the home were a rifle and sawed-off shotgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and the cash, Hensley said. Christopher Weise, 38, and David Brandow, 45, both of Manteca, were taken into custody. Weise was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession for sale of a controlled substance and of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Brandow was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession for sale of a controlled substance. The Tracy Police Department’s narcotics detectives and the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office assisted in this investigation, Hensley said.
